French Open 2020 draw: Rafael Nadal faces Egor Gerasimov as Andy Murray drawn against Stan Wawrinka

Andy Murray will begin his French Open against former champion Stan Wawrinka, while 12-time defending champion Rafael Nadal returns to action at Roland Garros against Egor Gerasimov. 

World No 1 Novak Djokovic will battle Sweden’s Elias Ymer, though the tie of the first round is US Open champion Dominic Thiem against Marin Cilic.

Serena Williams begins her campaign against Kristie Ahn, while world No 2 Simona Halep, who is the highest ranking player at the tournament without defending champion Ashleigh Barty, is first up against Sara Sorribes Tormo.

British number one Dan Evans, the 32nd seed, was also given a tough draw as he bids for a first victory at Roland Garros against former top-10 player Kei Nishikori, who is working his way back from injury.

Cameron Norrie will face a qualifier - potentially Broady - while top seed Novak Djokovic takes on Swede Mikael Ymer.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal faces Belarusian Egor Gerasimov and finds himself in the same half as US Open champion Dominic Thiem, who opens against Marin Cilic.
