Brendan Rodgers’ side started the new campaign in emphatic fashion, defeating West Brom 3-0 last weekend as Jamie Vardy scored twice from the penalty spot, after such a disappointing end to last season.
Meanwhile, tonight marks the beginning of Burnley’s new campaign, while Sean Dyche’s frustration over the club’s activity – or lack thereof – in the transfer market continues to cause unrest. Follow all the action below:
Burnley are playing with more energy and purpose now. McNeil is set away down the left and whips a cross into the middle. Pieters attacks it well but his header lacks the power to beat Schmeichel.

GOAL! Leicester 3-2 Burnley (Dunne)
Dunne has a goal on his Premier League debut! He meets a floated free kick with a powerful, downward header which beats the outstretched left arm of Schmeichel on its way in. Burnley have some hope.

Schmeichel has to be alert as a Bardsley cross almost sneaks under the crossbar. The goalkeeper tips it behind for a corner, which McNeil sends curling beyond everyone in the box.

Half a chance for Praet as a Leicester corner drops at the back post. His side-footed shot is charged down.

Another fluid Leicester move involving Vardy and Praet and Castagne leaves Burnley’s defenders backtracking. The latter, who’s been impressive again, sees his cross blocked.

Chance! Taylor swings a brilliant first-time cross into the middle and Rodriguez is there to meet it, stretching a leg out in an attempt to volley it home. There’s plenty of pace – perhaps too much – on the ball, but the Burnley forward can only direct it over the bar.

Almost for Vardy, who gets away down the left, breaks into the box but can’t get his shot off from close range under pressure from Pope and Brownhill.

The home side are playing with a bit of swagger now having established a two-goal lead. Their passing is quicker and more adventurous, and they look like they could add more goals.

Perez, having created that goal, makes way for James Maddison.

GOAL! Leicester 3-1 Burnley (Justin)
That might seal the points for Leicester. Perez does well in the box, twisting and turning before cutting the ball back towards Justin at the far post. He arrives on it and finishes coolly, slotting the ball into the bottom corner and scoring his first Premier League goal.
